Job description

Senior Insurance Analyst

Contract position with a major real estate investment firm. Hybrid in Dallas, TX. The Loan Services team is looking for a Senior Insurance Analyst who will focus on the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct review of loan documents on all new loans, as it relates to insurance requirements.
  • Notify borrowers of expirations/deficiencies, where insurance does not comply with loan documents.
  • Audit insurance renewals, completing comparison against the Insurance Module and documents received.
  • Communicate with insurance agencies, prior servicers and/or borrowers to obtain evidence of renewal of certificates/policies/policy endorsements.
  • Complete insurance disbursements, as needed.
  • Assist Borrowers/Agents re: incoming inquiries involving insurance disputes, insurance requirements, premium payments and cancellation notices.
  • Identify loans where expired insurance requires force placed insurance.
  • Communicate with Asset Management and Servicing, as necessary.
  • Keep manager updated on problems, issues, and production flow.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree or insurance license equivalent a plus; need a minimum of five years related commercial insurance experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with HUD, Client and Freddie Mac, a plus.
  • Position requires a detailed understanding of loan terms, complex loan documents, capital structures, pooling, investor reporting and servicing agreements, servicing functions, and process flows.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform in a strong customer-oriented team environment utilizing strong leadership skills, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidate needs to be able to communicate and make presentations to all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a time sensitive environment.
