Position Description:
CGI is seeking a Senior Insurance Industry Advisor to join the newly formed Global Insurance Advisory & Innovation team, responsible for driving the growth and development of CGI's global insurance industry business. This role offers a unique opportunity to create meaningful impact and support profitable growth in collaboration with Business Leaders, CGI's global insurance network, and colleagues across Corporate Services, namely Marketing & Communications and Business Development.
The Senior Insurance Industry Advisor will play a key role in advancing CGI's global insurance strategy by leveraging deep insurance industry and business consulting expertise to identify strategic opportunities, support pursuits and delivery, and strengthen client relationships across global insurance markets. This role also contributes to the development of innovative insurance solutions and services while fostering knowledge sharing, industry alliances, and global business development.
The successful candidate combines deep insurance domain expertise with strong capabilities in business development, client engagement, and delivery leadership to support client pursuits, global insurance initiatives, and strategic growth opportunities.
CGI will consider candidates proximate to any U.S. office with a preference for Massachusetts, Ohio, or Illinois. CGI utilizes a hybrid model and partners should be prepared to work in a CGI or client office, as needed.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with deep insurance expertise and business consulting experience to drive growth in CGI's insurance business, collaborating across countries beyond their local market.
This role has the following focus areas.
1. Support client pursuits and delivery by providing deep insurance industry and business consulting expertise to shape proposals, client engagements, and successful project outcomes
2. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insurance domain expertise and strategic insights to address business and transformation challenges
3. Identify and develop strategic opportunities to expand CGI's presence and growth within the global insurance sector
4. Strengthen client development activities, working closely with account teams to grow existing and new client relationships and engagements
5. Contribute to the development of new global insurance end-to-end value propositions, solutions and services, leveraging industry trends, innovation, and CGI capabilities.
6. Promote knowledge sharing and industry thought leadership across CGI's global insurance community
7. Provide industry orientation and expertise to alliance partners, supporting collaboration with key ecosystem partners
8. Support global business development and marketing initiatives to position CGI's insurance capabilities and strengthen market presence
9. Identify and stay up-to-date on the latest industry and market trends to define strategic opportunities and direction
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 12+ years of experience in the insurance industry and business consulting, working with global and leading national insurance organizations across P&C (personal and commercial lines), Life & Retirement, reinsurance, and brokers
. Broad understanding of the insurance value chain and deep domain expertise in several key areas, including sales, distribution and customer service, underwriting and pricing, capital management and risk transfer, policyholder administration, claims management, and investment management
. Strong business consulting experience, with a proven track record of delivering business change and technology-enabled business transformation initiatives in the insurance industry
. Ability to translate business challenges into technology-enabled solutions (e.g., core insurance platforms, digital, AI, and data & analytics), supported by a strong understanding of insurance technology providers and ecosystems
. Excellent communication, presentation, and conceptual skills; ability to craft compelling narratives and package complex information
. Demonstrates strong initiative and the ability to independently identify opportunities, mobilize stakeholders, and drive strategic outcomes
. Demonstrated ability to interact with C-suite executives
. Proven business development experience, incl. analytical expertise to help identify sharp business insights from data
. Creative and innovative thinker; ability to generate new ideas and solutions that differentiate the company
. Collaborative, respectful style with colleagues at every level, priority on succeeding as one global team
. Comfortable working in a distributed team across global time zones and cultures
. Strong collaborative attitude, to align different internal and external stakeholders around the globe
. Consultative approach with a strong ability to understand and address client needs
. Master's or bachelor's degree in business, or related
. Fluent business English is a must (French desirable but not mandatory)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $165,000.00 $305,000.00.
