Job description

Purpose and Impact:

Amentum has a new and exciting opportunity for a Screening and Vetting Analyst in our Intelligence and Cyber Group in McLean, VA. This contract provides and sustains counterterrorism awareness for NCTC and the CT community. Analysts research, draft, coordinate, and edit articles for publication; identify IC collection gaps and evaluate solutions; conduct intelligence analysis and integration for the IC; complete screening, vetting, and watchlisting; and provide analytic and mission support.

Work Schedule: Flexible schedule with 80 hours per pay period.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Screening and Vetting Intelligence Analyst will identify and analyze subjects through the utilization of multiple customer databases and tools in support of end users. The Intelligence Analyst will provide analytic support to the screening of foreign travelers to the US. The Intelligence Analyst will interact with customer personnel at all levels within their organization in order to meet mission objectives. This role is responsible for screening and vetting individuals traveling to the US by reviewing non-immigrant and immigrant Visa applicants against TIDE and other IC databases.

Responsibilities include using appropriate tools and analytic tradecraft to evaluate, analyze, and integrate relevant identity information to reveal foreign traveler links to terrorism for the State Department adjudication and watchlisting purposes. This role uses the call chain analysis process to determine relationships, patterns, trends, indicators, and warnings to identify and report CT intelligence gaps.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree + a minimum of 2 years of direct experience
  • Experience analyzing IC data
  • Experience analyzing intelligence reports and cables
  • Ability to be flexible to perform a wide variety of tasks, change focus quickly, and adapt to meet mission requirements
  • Experience with IC tools and databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience producing finished intelligence products
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately follow SOPs
  • Knowledge of IC organizations, policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Organization skills with strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations
  • Experience with biometric and analytical tools and databases

Security Clearance Required:

  • TS/SCI with polygraph

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Or no degree and three years of experience

Compensation Details:

$75,000 -$140,000
