Job description

About the Role: Martindale-Avvo Leads Division is seeking a salesoriented, consultative Account Manager to retain and grow a book of ~200 legal clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, onboard new clients for longterm success, run datadriven performance reviews, and drive revenue through strategic upsells while proactively minimizing churn.
Key responsibilities:
  • Own a portfolio of ~200 lawfirm and legalservice clients, building strong, longterm relationships.
  • Onboard new clients: set up accounts, establish goals, and ensure successful adoption of products/services.
  • Conduct regular, datadriven performance reviews to measure ROI, identify opportunities, and recommend optimizations.
  • Drive revenue growth through consultative upselling and crossselling of relevant MartindaleAvvo solutions.
  • Proactively monitor client health signals and intervene to prevent churn.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Marketing to escalate issues, share feedback, and improve the client experience.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and prepare clear reporting for leadership.
What success looks like:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Measurable upsell/crosssell revenue and growth in client lifetime value.
  • Strong client satisfaction and adoption metrics (NPS, product usage, goal attainment).
  • Consistent, timely delivery of performance reviews and action plans.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in account management, client success, or consultative sales-experience with legal industry clients strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a portfolio of accounts.
  • Comfortable with numbers and using data to drive recommendations.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive, clientfirst mentality.
  • Organized, selfdirected, and able to prioritize across a large book of business.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with MartindaleAvvo products or similar legal marketing platforms
  • Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and email tools such as Outreach
