Quanex is looking for a Vendor Coordinator to join our team located in Thomasville, NC.
The Vendor Coordinator is responsible for vendor assembly coordination including processing vendor parts and coordinating with manufacturing to ensure material is available based on customer demand. This position is Monday- Thursday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
  • Function as the primary point of contact for vendors addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Place and track orders for required parts and materials based on production schedules and stock levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and vendor performance.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply while avoiding overstocking.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between received goods/orders and quality issues.
  • Maintain up to date vendor files (including preferred parts, contact information, and tier classification)
  • Provide reports on vendor performance, order status and stock levels.
  • Review incoming materials for quality and compliance within specified parameters.
  • Coordinate with the production team to prioritize urgent materials and orders.
  • Serve as a back-up to the Mixer Technician, includes operating a forklift to transport materials.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Perform data entry and reporting in Excel and other software as needed.

Your Credentials:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Forklift Experience preferred.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods of time.

The hourly wage for this position is $21.00/hr.
