Job description

In this individual contributor role you will primarily focus on supporting development and strategic sourcing of Gifting and Accessories products. Responsibilities include leading one or more product categories for primary and secondary components. Will coordinate projects internally with multiple cross-functional partners, and, critically, with external contract manufacturers within the company portfolio. Analyst level supports product development, cost analysis, speed and cost savings initiatives. May train and delegate tasks to temps or other associates.

Responsibilities:Category/Commodity Management:
  • Analyze & negotiate vendor quotes for new business and communicate award decision
  • Analyzing cost increase requests and communicate business impact
  • Lead tooling expenses from external vendors
  • Analyze and maintain standard costs with internal partners
  • Validate final cost to target cost
  • Maintain, extract, and analyze data in business IT systems
Sourcing Execution & Vendor Engagement:
  • Support development, implementation, and execution of Bath & Body Works Sourcing Strategies
  • Support vendor set up & maintenance processes
  • Assist in vendor performance improvement
  • Maintain vendor profiles & capabilities
  • Collect and follow up on information related to RFQ process with vendor
  • Develop an understanding of BBW vendor base and capabilities.
  • Positive relationships within Global Vendor Management team and cross functional partners
Key Projects:
  • Support product commercialization workflow
  • Support Value Engineering (VE) project execution & other department & central initiatives
  • Supporting Sourcing excellence initiatives through standard methodology & process committees
  • Lead category strategy analytical work
Talent Management & Development:
  • Creation and execution of Individual Development Plan (IDP) / Personal Performance Objectives (PPO's) / Quarterly Connects / Performance Review in accordance with the performance management life cycle process
  • Identify continuous learning opportunities for own development (ie. Learning Manager, attend other meetings to gain insights, job shadowing, vendor visits, commodity schools)
  • Participate in regular development meetings with peers and managers
  • Participate and support team engagement initiatives as identified through the Associate Opinion Survey
  • Train cross functional partners and participate in onboarding initiatives when appropriate
  • 3-5 years' work experience in Purchasing, Operations Planning, Package/Supply Chain Engineering, and/or Strategic Sourcing positions; experience in manufacturing and/or consumer goods/retail preferred
  • Proficiency in completing tasks thoroughly, calmly, accurately, and promptly while handling multiple, conflicting priorities in a fast-moving atmosphere
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with several cross-functional partners while being a valuable contributor
  • High attention to detail coupled with strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, self-starting and a creative thinker
  • Conducts all work in an ethical, honest, professional and confidential manner
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Validated discernment and ability to make recommendations and business decisions with supervisor

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
