Job description

* Review and process license/appointment applications and terminations utilizing valid resources to ensure American Fidelity Assurance Company's (AFA's) compliance with federal and state regulations .

*Apply state and federal regulations and AFA guidelines in assessing bankruptcy, civil and criminal activities, etc.

*Monitor and schedule Life and Health agents' licensing continuing education classes, and track and notify account managers of their license renewal dates.

Technical skills and requirements:

  • Three to fiveyears experience in agent licensing and appointing

  • Proficiency with PC Windows-based software, including Microsoft Office applications

  • Exceptional typing skills

  • Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationand organizational skills to obtain missing information and resolve problems that occur in a timely and courteous manner

  • Detail-oriented

  • Work well in difficult and stressful situations

  • Able to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities

  • Exceptional knowledge of state compliance issues pertaining to agent licensing and appointments

  • Extensive broad-based knowledge of (FINRA) and states securities regulationsas wellas stateinsurance laws governing Life, Health and Variable Annuity licensing and appointments

  • Operational knowledge of AFA's proprietary mainframe systems(AGNT, COMM etc.) as well as FINRA WebCRDand various vendor software programs used in the appointment process

  • Must be familiar with agency and captive distribution systems
