Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Steam Turbine Fact Finder to support the region in the development of field projects on the European fleet of industrial steam turbines. You'll apply advanced skills to independently resolve complex repairs beyond standard procedures, using critical thinking to successfully tackle high-impact, intricate, and cross-functional challenges.
How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
  • Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, Design departments, and customer representatives, ensuring all project activities comply with QA standards, project documentation, and health and safety requirements.
  • Assist in developing technical and commercial proposals for maintenance overhauls
  • Perform fact-finding tasks on steam turbines at customer sites and shop environments, adhering to Siemens Energy Standards.
  • Participate in customer meetings, offering technical support during sales efforts and identifying potential delays while minimizing their impact.
  • Work remotely between projects, as required

What You Bring (requirements)
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED that can be verified; a Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of field experience on European Steam Turbines is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong English language skills, both verbal and written; additional language skills are a plus.
  • A Global approach with the ability to work with teams around the world and a strong intercultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently in a multicultural environment and demonstrate ownership of tasks.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in an environment with competing demands, which require prioritization of activities.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 70% including 4 to 5 weeks on larger projects.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
