Utility Service Coordinator

About the role: White Bear Lake, MN We are looking for a customer-focused Utility Service Coordinator to support utility service design projects from initiation through billing. You will be an important liaison between customers, field crews, work coordinators, and company partners, ensuring projects move through the design, construction, and billing processes. You will report to the Utility Design and Project Coordination team and works with work coordinators, field crews, customers, builders, and other company partners throughout the project lifecycle. While this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, it requires collaboration to ensure projects are completed on time, and within established processes. This is a hybrid position based in White Bear Lake, MN, with employees working onsite Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage utility service projects from initial customer request through project completion and billing.
  • Review and process customer service notifications and work orders in SAP.
  • Communicate with builders, homeowners, contractors, and company partners to gather project requirements.
  • Create utility designs using Smallworld GIS and related systems.
  • Coordinate project scheduling and work execution with field crews and work coordinators.
  • Support field personnel during project execution by answering questions and providing project documentation.
  • Review as-built drawings and completed work to ensure accuracy.
  • Calculate billable costs, create invoices, and respond to customer billing inquiries.
  • Submit utility locates and coordinate third-party site visits.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience working with customers directly
  • High school diploma/GED
