Job description

What is Fizz
Fizz is the hottest Gen Z social platform in the world. Having started as America's biggest college social app, Fizz is now allowing Gen Z globally to connect around their shared experiences and identities. College Fizz communities feature a private, moderated feed of posts from verified students, making it the most entertaining and authentic way to experience student life. Our newest product, Global Fizz, brings together all of Gen Z both domestically and abroad, providing a space to satisfy the 99% of life not on entertainment platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Fizz is on a mission to bring social back to social media.
What We've Done
We first launched Fizz at Stanford in July 2021 and have since seen >95% of undergraduates join the app, half of which use Fizz every day. Since raising a $25M Series B in July 2023, we have established ourselves as the dominant social app at 700+ colleges, have begun to generate revenue through advertising, and are actively expanding to communities beyond college. Most recently, Fizz hit #1 overall on the App Store charts in Saudi Arabia.
Where We're Going
We have three primary goals for 2026: continue our expansion to the entire US college market, drive revenue growth through our revolutionary ads business, and rapidly expand to non-college students - both domestically and abroad. This role is central to that third goal.
The Role
We're looking for a Sr Manager, User Acquisition to own and scale Fizz's paid growth engine as we expand beyond college campuses into the broader US market and internationally. This is a builder role - you'll be an early hire for our performance marketing team, setting strategy, standing up infrastructure, and running campaigns hands-on.
You'll sit at the intersection of marketing, product, and data. You understand that great performance marketing isn't just about CAC - it's about finding the right users, in the right markets, at the right moment in their lives, and then using product and retention data to validate that the growth actually worked.
Responsibilities
  • Own paid acquisition end-to-end across all channels (TikTok, Snap, Meta, Apple Search Ads, and emerging channels) for both US expansion and international market entry
  • Lead international growth strategy, identifying priority markets, localizing creative and targeting approaches, and navigating platform and attribution challenges in non-US environments
  • Own the MMP stack - maintain integration with mobile measurement partners (Airbridge), ensuring clean attribution, deep link tracking, SKAdNetwork compliance, and fraud monitoring across all paid channels
  • Build a full-funnel measurement framework connecting paid acquisition data to in-app product analytics - tracking not just installs and signups, but downstream retention, engagement, and community activation metrics by cohort, channel, and creative
  • Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to instrument the right events, interpret retention curves, and feed performance insights back into campaign strategy
  • Own creative strategy and testing - develop a rigorous creative testing framework across static, video, and UGC formats; collaborate with design and social to iterate on winning concepts

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of performance marketing experience with a proven track record of scaling paid channels in a high-growth consumer app
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok for Business, Google UAC, and Apple Search Ads
  • Strong command of mobile measurement: MMP implementation and management (AppsFlyer, Airbridge, Branch, etc), SKAdNetwork/privacy-safe attribution, A/B testing, and fraud prevention
  • Fluency in product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent) and the ability to independently pull and interpret cohort retention data, funnel analyses, and engagement metrics - not just rely on a BI team to do it for you
  • Experience running international campaigns, including geo-targeted launches and navigating platform differences across regions
  • Strong creative intuition with a structured approach to creative testing and iteration

Compensation & Benefits
We care more about finding the right person than fitting them into a predefined title. This role may be hired at the Manager or Director level, depending on experience and scope. If you're excited about the opportunity but don't think you perfectly match the level described, we'd still encourage you to apply.
The targeted compensation range for this role is $120,000-$150,000 a year, based on job-related skills and experience.
Fizz full-time employees are eligible for company-sponsored benefits and equity.
This is an onsite role based out of our New York, NY (Soho) office.
