Job Description We are looking for an experienced and proven marketer to be our in-house expert on growing our subscriber base — across web and app. You will plan and execute on paid media channels to drive user acquisition while maintaining the right balance between CAC and LTV. You will work closely with the CRM team and creative agencies to ensure a 360 approach to the customer. You must have a keen eye for Brand to ensure our marketing efforts continually drive brand perception. You must be data-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable diagnosing performance problems fast when the numbers move against you. As a team manager, you will guide your direct reports to not just grow the business but also grow their professional careers. Responsibilities Strategy & Execution Drive strategy, execution, and reporting for bringing new subscribers to the business across web and mobile app Allocate a multi-million dollar budget across digital and traditional media platforms to exceed our CAC and subscriber target goals Partner with FP&A to drive annual budgeting as well as reforecasting monthly and quarterly projections Maintain a robust testing schedule to ensure we are constantly optimizing our core channels Drive targeted customer acquisition by leveraging first and third-party data sets Initiate a lead generation program for lead capture while measuring the value of these leads App Marketing Own app install and re-engagement campaigns across Apple Search Ads, Google App Campaigns, Meta App Ads, and TikTok, alongside web acquisition Manage app store optimization (ASO): keyword strategy, creative/screenshot testing, conversion rate on the store listing Optimize the full app funnel from install through onboarding to first subscription, partnering with Product on friction points that affect paid media efficiency Measurement & Problem Solving Improve measurement across channels to drive better attribution across both performance and brand KPIs, including experience with MMM (media mix modeling) and incrementality/holdout testing as a complement to platform-reported metrics Develop and maintain performance dashboards (daily, weekly, and monthly cadences) to closely monitor performance and catch issues early When we're off pace against budget or subscriber targets, lead root-cause diagnosis across channels, creative, landing pages, and downstream funnel — distinguishing genuine demand softness from platform delivery shifts, tracking/measurement gaps, or creative fatigue — and translate findings into a corrective plan with clear timelines Build contingency and reallocation plans for underperforming channels so budget can be redeployed quickly without waiting Work closely with Analytics and Research partners, both internal and external, to drive segmentation and customer insights Emerging Channels & Tools Stay ahead of how people discover and evaluate subscription products in 2026, including the growing role of AI-driven search and recommendation surfaces as a top-of-funnel channel alongside traditional paid search and social Evaluate and pilot AI-assisted creative production and testing tools to increase the volume and velocity of creative iteration against a fixed budget Track retail media, connected TV/streaming, and social commerce (e.g. TikTok Shop) as they mature, and recommend when Sunday should test in Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate extensively with the CRM team to ensure we are focused on increasing net subscriber growth and AOV Establish a working cadence with external creative agencies to ensure the team has a pipeline of creative assets Lead a team of growth marketers to ensure intra- and cross-team collaboration as well as career development Drive funnel optimization through iterative testing Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in user acquisition/growth marketing Exceptional understanding of paid media channels including Meta, Google, Programmatic, TikTok, Pinterest, and various top-of-funnel channels Direct experience with app marketing: ASO, mobile measurement partners (MMPs), SKAN/privacy-driven attribution, and app funnel optimization Demonstrated experience troubleshooting underperformance against budget — able to walk through a real example of diagnosing a miss and what you changed as a result Experience with customer segmentation and cohorting a must Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Retail/e-commerce & app marketing experience at a consumer-facing brand strongly preferred Bonus: experience with a subscription D2C business Bonus: experience with MMM, incrementality testing, or emerging AI-driven acquisition channels Deeply analytical and a proven track record of working with data to drive email campaign ideation and business results Prior knowledge or experience in lawns and gardens not required.
