Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator at EchoStar serves as a vital operational partner for the Talent Acquisition team, primarily focused on Early Career and Veteran talent. We are designing and launching an enterprise-wide Early Career Talent Strategy to encompass a broader scope of academic institutions and diverse engagement models.

This position is key to optimizing Early Career Talent Acquisition operations, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and ensuring seamless execution throughout the early career hiring lifecycle as well as veteran sourcing.

The ideal candidate has a willingness to think outside of the box to innovate and enhance our engagement strategies, while also demonstrating strong teaming and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Early Career Program Management & Operational Support
    • Internship Program Coordination: Own the end-to-end coordination and logistical management of the EchoStar Internship Program, supporting the broader Early Career Talent Strategy; this includes managing candidate tracking, offer processes, pre-arrival communications, and coordinating activities
    • Early Career Recruiting Logistics & Engagement: Plan, coordinate, and execute all campus recruiting and early career events, including managing university/college relations, targeted engagement with community and trade schools, travel arrangements, securing resources, coordinating team participation, and preparing materials
    • Project Coordination & Optimization: Build and maintain project plans for key early career initiatives, track milestones, identify risks, and proactively escalate issues as needed to optimize Early Career Talent Acquisition operations
    • Data Analysis & Insights: Monitor and report on key program metrics related to intern conversion, event attendance, and pipeline health to inform and enhance the Early Career Talent Strategy
  • Candidate Experience
    • Deliver a positive, engaging, and seamless experience for early career candidates (internships and recent graduate roles) from initial contact through offer acceptance, collaborating closely with recruiters and hiring managers
    • Maximize scheduling efficiency by utilizing innovative scheduling technology (e.g., AI-powered tools) to coordinate early career interviews, proactively anticipating and mitigating potential conflicts
    • Develop, refine, and continuously improve candidate communication templates and interview preparation materials specifically designed for an early career audience
    • Support veteran sourcing efforts and manage vendor relationships for job descriptions and event coordination
  • Recruiting Operations & Process Optimization
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in the applicant tracking system (iCIMS preferred), ensuring data integrity, compliance, and workflow optimization specific to early career hiring
    • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support scalability and operational consistency across all early career veteran programs
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ year of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR operations, or relevant program coordination environment (e.g., student affairs, campus activities)
  • Experience supporting early career and veteran efforts is a plus

  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Organization & Detail Orientation: Demonstrated high attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills, essential for managing multiple complex priorities simultaneously
  • Adaptability & Change Management: A positive and adaptable mindset, capable of championing change, supporting the adoption of new processes or tools, and responding promptly while taking on diverse responsibilities
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence in utilizing technology systems, including Google Workspace, Microsoft applications, Calendly, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
