Job description

Data Analytics Intern ( User Growth function)


BIGO LIVE is a leading global social live-streaming platform under BIGO Technology, connecting hundreds of millions of creators and audiences across cultures and geographies. Our User Growth (UG) team drives global DAU expansion and retention through data-informed user acquisition strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain core UA dashboards: DAU, Retention, CPI, CTR, CVR, ROAS, LTV

• Analyze campaign performance across Meta Ads, Google UAC, and TikTok for Business; surface optimization opportunities

• Design and evaluate A/B experiments to support UA strategy; ensure statistical rigor in results interpretation

• Work with MMP data (Appsflyer / Adjust) to deliver cross-channel attribution reports and reconcile data discrepancies

• Conduct DAU and retention deep-dives: decompose new users, reactivations, and churn; identify growth and risk drivers

• Present findings in weekly/monthly business review meetings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Collaborate across time zones with the North America data team and UG business partners


Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree — current student or recent graduate. Preferred majors: Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or related fields

• SQL: Proficient — multi-table JOINs, window functions, aggregation and analytical queries

• BI Tools: Tableau, Looker, or equivalent platforms

• Statistics: A/B test design, significance testing (t-test, chi-square), avoiding common experimental pitfalls

• Python: Basic data manipulation with Pandas

• MMP tools: Appsflyer, Adjust, or Singular

• Exposure to ad platforms: Meta Ads Manager, Google UAC, TikTok Ads

• Familiarity with mobile app marketing metrics and UA funnel logic (CPI, ROAS, LTV, Payback Period)

• Prior internship or project experience in internet products, digital marketing, or growth analytics is a plus

• Fluent English — written and spoken (English is the primary working language during the NA rotation)

• Strong learning agility; ability to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment

• Data-driven mindset: proactively identifies problems, does not wait to be told what to analyze

• Collaborative and communicative across cultures and functions
