Job description

Gates Hudson is seeking a hands-on Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of our Talent Acquisition function while remaining actively involved in recruiting. This is a true player-coach role for an experienced recruiter who enjoys developing a team, partnering closely with hiring managers, and rolling up their sleeves to source and recruit for priority roles.
The Talent Acquisition Manager will lead a small team of Recruiters while personally supporting high-priority and hard-to-fill searches across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, knows how to balance competing priorities, and brings strong hands-on experience with Greenhouse Recruiting.
What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and support the day-to-day work of the Talent Acquisition team, including workload prioritization, performance management, and ongoing development.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned and high-priority positions, from intake and sourcing through interview, offer, and candidate close.
  • Proactively source passive talent and build pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, job boards, referrals, networking, and other sourcing strategies.
  • Jump in alongside the recruiting team to support difficult-to-fill, time-sensitive, or high-volume searches when additional support is needed.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, develop effective recruiting approaches, and maintain clear expectations around pipelines, timelines, and market conditions.
  • Conduct intake meetings and advise hiring managers on position requirements, interviewing, candidate selection, and recruiting best practices.
  • Monitor open requisitions and recruiting activity to ensure appropriate coverage, timely follow-up, and a consistently strong candidate experience.
  • Serve as a day-to-day subject matter expert and administrator for Greenhouse Recruiting, including requisitions, workflows, interview plans, scorecards, offers, reporting, user administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain strong ATS data integrity and drive consistent Greenhouse usage and recruiting practices across the team.
  • Use recruiting data and reporting to identify priorities, monitor activity, and support day-to-day decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Operations, and other internal teams to support an effective hiring and onboarding process.
  • Identify practical opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, team efficiency, hiring manager experience, and candidate experience.
  • Ensure recruiting practices and processes remain consistent with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Support recruiting events and other hiring initiatives as needed.
What You Bring
  • 6+ years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant hands-on sourcing experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing, leading, or providing day-to-day direction to Recruiters or Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Greenhouse Recruiting, including hands-on experience with requisitions, candidate workflows, interview plans, scorecards, offers, reporting, and general ATS administration.
  • Proven success recruiting in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong passive candidate sourcing and talent pipeline development skills.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and the confidence to advise, influence, set expectations, and push back when appropriate.
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills with the ability to create accountability while remaining approachable and supportive.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to quickly reprioritize as business needs change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting practices, interviewing techniques, and applicable employment laws.
  • Experience using recruiting data and reporting to manage workload and inform decisions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Even Better If You Have
  • Experience recruiting within property management, real estate, hospitality, retail, or another high-volume, field-based service industry.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple locations or within a decentralized organization.
  • Experience recruiting for a mix of field, operational, and corporate positions.
  • Advanced experience with Greenhouse administration and reporting.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other passive sourcing tools.
What Success Looks Like
You are a visible, hands-on leader who understands what is happening across the recruiting function and knows when to coach, when to prioritize, and when to jump directly into a search yourself. You build strong relationships with hiring managers, keep the recruiting team focused and accountable, actively contribute to candidate pipelines, and ensure Greenhouse is consistently and effectively used as the system of record for Talent Acquisition.
