Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Drives (class A CDL rated) trucks in the delivery and pick-up of equipment and materials for assigned shows.
  • Assists in the loading and unloading of showsite equipment and materials.
  • Assists in the carpet and/or furniture departments, as needed.
  • Assists in the receiving and delivery of show freight, as needed.
  • Miscellaneous equipment inspections and maintenance, as needed.
  • Relies on personal knowledge and experience in operation of trucks and in the completing of job functions.
  • Must be available for travel and overnight stays as required (up to 20%).
  • Must be available to work variable shifts, nights, weekends and extended hours if necessary.

Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or GED preferred
  • Valid Class A CDL driver's license
  • Maintain good driving record
  • 3 Years driving experience
  • Tradeshow industry experience a plus, but not required
  • Must join the Carpenter's Union
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Able to interface with internal staff, outside vendors, clients, facility security, etc.

Work Environment:
  • Required to perform work on loading docks, the tradeshow floor, in noisy and crowded areas as well as warehouse setting
  • Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere
  • Requires working with union and non-union employees
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends
  • Must be able to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision
  • Previous experience with ELD and app-based reporting a plus, but not required

**All benefits provided by Carpenters Union Local 131.**
Compensation: $34/hr. +. The pay range and actual offers are based on a variety of individualized factors including skills, qualifications, experience, location and role specific competencies.
