Union Wage Info

This is a union position, pay and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement.

We are seeking skilled, safetyfocused Union Equipment Operators to support pile installation on utilityscale solar projects. Operators will run piledriving equipment and support machinery to install steel foundations safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Essential Functions:

  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in JHAs/toolbox talks. Maintain all required PPE and support a strong safety culture on the crew.
  • Operate pile drivers, telehandlers, skid steers, & possibly excavator for non-compliant piles.
  • Install piles to correct depth, alignment, and engineering tolerances.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance (greasing, cleaning, and minor adjustments).
  • Support efficient movement of materials, staging of pile stock, and site organization.
  • Work with layout/survey teams and ground crews.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and sitespecific protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings, including personnel, equipment, and electrical hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with foremen, site supervisors, laborers, and other operators.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and professional job site culture.
  • Travel, including overnight stays, is an essential function of this role.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current OSHA 10 or 30 Certifications preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, a CDL is a plus.
  • Places safety as a top priority
  • Must be a team player but work collaboratively with crew.
  • Requires the ability to work long hours in the outdoor elements. A post-offer functional test is required.
