As a No Experience Solar Installer, your day usually starts at a job site where you’ll work under the supervision of experienced team members to assemble and install solar panels, mount racks, and assist with wiring. You’ll use basic tools, follow safety procedures, and help lift or secure panels, often working outdoors and sometimes at heights. Expect to learn hands-on about system layouts, site preparation, and troubleshooting common installation issues. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with more experienced installers and sometimes electricians or roofers. This role is a great starting point for building technical skills, and with experience, you may advance to roles with more responsibility, such as Lead Installer or Site Supervisor.
