Job description

We're looking for a highly motivated Trainee Solar Installer to join our fast-growing team.
In this role, you'll be learning the skills needed to support high-quality Solar PV installations for both commercial and residential properties.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to start a hands-on career in the renewable energy sector. With a large number of installations completed each year, you'll gain valuable experience and grow alongside a supportive, experienced team.
As this is a physical, outdoor role, we're looking for individuals who are hardworking, eager to learn, and ready to work in all weather conditions, often at heights. A background or interest in construction, roofing, or solar is a bonus but not essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Help keep the work site clean, tidy, and organised.
  • Assist with unloading deliveries and moving materials.
  • Carry out general labouring and support tasks as needed.
  • Show initiative and a willingness to learn on the job.
  • Work well with others and communicate clearly.
  • Be reliable and punctual, completing tasks with care.
  • Stay focused and organised in your approach.
  • Use basic literacy and numeracy skills in daily tasks.
  • Meet the physical demands of outdoor and rooftop work.
  • Be open-minded, adaptable, and ready to gain new skills.
We're looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual ready to start their journey as a Trainee Solar Installer. If you enjoy working with your hands, being part of a team, and aren't afraid of heights or physical work, this could be the perfect role for you.
You don't need previous experience in Solar PV or Roofing, just a great attitude and the drive to learn. We'll support you every step of the way as you develop your skills and build a solid foundation for a career in renewable energy.
While a CSCS card is helpful, we'll support you in getting certified if you don't have one. You'll need a full driver's license and access to your own transport, as you'll be travelling to different work sites.
This is a fantastic chance to join a growing company making a real impact in the renewable energy space. If you're excited about learning, growing, and making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
Essentials:
  • Keen interest in Solar PV, Roofing, or Construction.
  • Comfortable with working at heights.
  • CSCS card (or willing to train towards it).
  • Full driver's license.
  • Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
