Job description

Client is a boutique litigation firm founded in 2010. The firm represents clients in complex litigation and at any stage of enterprise development, in practice areas that include business litigation, real estate litigation, business formation and development, commercial collections, sports and entertainment law, bankruptcy litigation, insurance coverage, product liability, appellate practice, and class action defense.

Role Description

This is a full-time Mid to Senior-Level Associate Attorney role. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for independently managing litigation cases from initiation to completion in state and federal courts and arbitration, including preparation and drafting of pleadings, motions, discovery, and other court filings, arguing motions in court and making other court appearances, interfacing and building relationships with clients, taking and defending depositions, and preparation for and participation in trials. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office location in Los Angeles, CA.

Qualifications

4-8 years of relevant civil litigation experience in a law firm setting

Hands-on litigation experience including drafting and arguing motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation required

Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team, with a collaborative mindset and interest in growing with the firm

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school (Top 100 preferred)

Admission to the California State Bar

Compensation

Monthly bonus for billable hours above 150 hours per month and origination bonuses ranging from 10%-20% for clients brought to the firm (historically these incentives have increased associate compensation by approximately 7%-15% above base salary annually)

Annual discretionary bonus
