Job description

Clover is a fast casual restaurant chain specializing in making plant-based food that people love. We source directly from local farmers we know by name. We have an avid fan base who loves to hear the stories behind our ingredients and how new culinary creations came to be. They also love providing feedback and seeing our business evolve.

You'll be on the frontlines as the resident storyteller: writing, shooting photos and videos, sharing our story, and connecting with customers 1-on-1.

In this role, you will collaborate with incredible people; learn about food, cooking, and the food system; and build strong professional skills in marketing, sales, and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead content creation across owned channels, including Clover's email list, social media, and website. This includes writing copy, taking photography and video, and editing
  • Manage creative project timelines and deliverables, including signage, flyers, and printed materials
  • Develop and pitch press-worthy stories for local media
  • Create and lead events at restaurants (Trivia Nights, Meet-the-Farmers, Thank You Breakfasts)
  • Respond to customer inquiries and issues by email and phone professionally and in timely manner
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints while maintaining an upbeat tone. Process orders, payments, refunds, and account updates accurately.
  • Provide guidance to restaurant Front-of-House staff on how to tell the store of new products
  • Guide food development and corporate strategy by representing the voice of the customer-sharing their ideas, feedback, complaints, and insights
  • In order to really understand our customers and food, you will also be expected to Clover Guide (take orders in the restaurants and interact with guests) 3-5 hours a week.

Requirements

  • A scrappy can-do attitude
  • Passion for food
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and best practices

Additional considerations:

  • Experience providing creative direction
  • Experience managing creative projects and timelines
  • Experience in retail or customer service would be a plus
  • We would love to review samples of your creative work. It could be a killer social post, a beautiful design, an advertisement, photography, a short story, a summary of an event you put on. Anything that shows us you know how to bring a story to life.
