Associate Broker / Transportation Broker Assistant

Location: Remote

Position Overview

A rapidly growing wholesale brokerage platform is seeking an Associate Broker / Transportation Broker Assistant to support a high-performing transportation team focused on trucking risks. This role offers strong exposure to both new business and renewals, working alongside experienced brokers on a dynamic and fast-paced book.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, production-oriented team with meaningful upside, where individuals are trusted to contribute and grow quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support brokers with new business quote processing and submissions

  • Prepare and assemble client-ready proposals and coverage summaries

  • Review submissions and policies for accuracy in coverage, terms, and documentation

  • Act as a second set of eyes on deals prior to binding

  • Assist with marketing efforts and carrier communication as needed

  • Provide support on endorsements and policy changes during peak workflow periods

  • Work across a range of transportation risks, including small fleets and large, complex accounts

  • Collaborate closely with internal service teams to ensure efficient execution

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in commercial insurance, ideally within:

    • Transportation / trucking underwriting or brokerage

    • Wholesale brokerage environments

    • Carrier-side transportation underwriting

    • Broker or underwriting assistant roles

  • Strong understanding of coverage structures and policy review

  • Ability to manage high submission volume with attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility over time

Retail brokerage backgrounds will be considered, though wholesale or transportation-specific experience is preferred.
