Elderly transportation jobs involve transporting senior citizen clients with medical challenges to and from medical facilities, nursing homes, or private homes. Your responsibilities are to drive a vehicle, help senior citizens on and off the vehicle, and transport them to and from medical appointments, grocery stores, and other places to complete errands. You carry out your duties with a transportation service designed to assist the elderly population with getting around their town and visiting doctors with some independence. You may also find positions directly with nursing homes or retirement communities. These are usually full-time positions during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with some possible Saturday hours.
