Job Title: Logistics Assistant
Location: Irvine, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Assistant to support our logistics and supply chain operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly accurate with data and documentation and interested in learning end-to-end logistics processes. The primary focus will be document review and system data entry, with opportunities to expand into domestic and export logistics coordination over time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify logistics documents for accuracy and compliance, with strong attention to detail
  • Check and validate shipping documents, including:
    • Bills of Lading (BOL)
    • Commercial Invoices
    • Health Certificates (export documentation)
  • Create and prepare logistics and shipping documents, including:
    • Delivery Orders
    • Export documentation such as Certificates of Origin (COO), Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI), and related forms
  • Enter and maintain accurate shipment data in internal systems
  • Track shipment status and maintain organized records
  • Reconcile documentation and system data to ensure accuracy
Logistics Coordination (Growth Responsibilities)
  • Communicate with vendors including truckers, warehouses, and freight forwarders to arrange shipments
  • Assist with domestic truck scheduling and coordination as experience grows
  • Support logistics operations for temperature-sensitive cargo, both domestically and internationally
  • Learn logistics movement processes, requirements, and compliance standards
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to catch small errors
  • Highly organized with strong data entry and record-keeping skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn logistics processes, documentation, and systems
  • Comfortable working with multiple documents and deadlines
  • Prior logistics, shipping, or supply chain experience is a plus but not required.
Training on these responsibilities will be provided once the candidate has demonstrated full competence in the core responsibilities listed above.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the movement of goods and materials from origin to destination using 3PLs

  • Manage freight forwarders and ocean freight schedules, ensuring all necessary documentation and procedures are completed

  • Monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers

  • Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations

  • Track and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand
