The Trailer Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the movement and analyzing the inventory of the company’s trailers. This role involves overseeing the delivery of trailers from manufacturers to final destinations across the company’s footprint, as well as managing customer deliveries. The Specialist utilizes strong organization, process management, and relationship-building skills to effectively track inventory, communicate with brokers, and ensure timely deliveries while managing damaged claims.  Additionally, the Specialist is responsible for analyzing data and implementing strategies to optimize trailer movements, reduce freight costs, and enhance freight protection.


  • Oversee and direct the delivery of all trailers moves from suppliers and to customers to maintain day-to-day operations.
  • Act as the liaison and negotiator with carriers, insurance, and service while fostering business relationships.
  • Analyze and record quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency of trailer moves.
  • Correspond with carriers, suppliers, management, and sales teams on all logistical details.
  • Input, monitor, and upgrade logistics software.
  • Use data analysis from the logistics software to find optimal efficiency needed to move trailers.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in trailer moves, such as delays, damages, or compliance issues, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of trailer movements, delivery schedules, and associated costs. Prepare regular reports for management to review performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies governing trailer transportation, including safety standards, insurance requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline logistics operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Other Duties: The Trailer Logistics Analyst may be required to perform additional duties as assigned by manage to support the efficient operations of our Corporate Trailer’s department.

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field. 
  • Experience in the logistics/supply chain industry preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis and negotiation; preferably within a logistics or supply chain context.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, setting timelines, and independently prioritizing workloads.
  • Advanced understanding of market and freight conditions.
  • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, negotiation, and relationship building, with a track record of fostering positive relations with vendors, external partners, and internal departments.
    Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and dealership software.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather relevant data, analyze information, and develop actionable solutions to improve processes and policies.
  • Familiarity with industry specific software systems, ERPs, or inventory management systems preferred.
  • Previous experience with trailer logistics and inventory management preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $30.28 to $37.96.
