Job description

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Power Generation Project Manager. The Electric Power Generation (EPG) Project Manager's objective is to provide leadership for Power Generation projects from receipt of purchase through customer acceptance. This position organizes, schedules, coordinates, purchases, communicates and leads the efforts of others. Provide timely, cost effective management of multiple projects to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project costs and coordinate billing to initiate the invoicing process
  • Meet with customers, contractors, engineers, and owners to discuss project requirements and logistics
  • Assemble Operation and Maintenance documentation and other submittals as required.
  • Review specification(s) to determine Ziegler Power Systems' scope of responsibility (stated and/or implied)
  • Assemble Technical Submittal information
  • Order Caterpillar equipment and all non-CAT materials from suppliers and coordinate timely release and delivery
  • Coordinate shop build-up of engine generator and delivery of equipment to job-site
  • Coordinate with lead sales engineer to facilitate the design of the project. Work in a cooperative manner with internal and external resources (engineers, architects, contractors, owners, etc) to bring projects in on time and within the budget constraints on the project.
  • Coordinate start-up procedures and documentation with contractors, engineers, customers, owners, utility company, and service technicians
  • Communicate project information to the Product Support group
  • Provide AutoCAD support for Caterpillar drawings
  • Summarize project(s) status through department meetings and reports

Qualifications:

  • 4 year Bachelor's degree required; or a minimum of a 2-year college degree and 2+ years of project management work experience
  • 1 year of Project management workexperience isrequired or aminimum of some college course work in project management
  • Clean driving record required
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Experience inMicrosoft Office, AutoCAD andAdobe Acrobatrequired
  • Electrical Power, Electrician, Generator or Reciprocating Engineexperience desired
  • Personal Attributes: Commitment / Dependability, Customer Focus, Learning Orientation, Problem Solving, Self-Confidence

Travel:

  • 25% travel

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing

The pay range for this position is

$71,400.00 to $89,250.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
