Training and Content Development Manager
Framingham
Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00/year based on experience + sign-on bonus (half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment/pro-rated for part-time).
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Content Creation:
  • Support the development and design of our online portals, training materials, including training handbooks, visual aids, online modules, resources guides and tutorials.
  • Market the "build-out" of the Wayside Training Center client learning portal and training center website, ensuring that the internal educational resources (curricula, guides, toolkits) are effectively leveraged to engage and retain clients.
  • Support the marketing and communications department in the development and coordination of events acting as a crucial internal communications link/ central hub of communication between various departments and act as a visual content development resource.
  • Work with VP of Government Relations to develop content around legislative priorities and materials to help provide language and training for employees.
  • Work alongside Marketing and Communication Manager to ensure website, internal documents and other materials regarding Wayside's services are cohesive and branded.

Delivery & Facilitation:
  • Collaborate with the WTC Director with the coordination & roll out of the Foundational Equity Training as a recurring open enrollment offering, from facilitator prep to feedback analysis, which fulfills WETC's top priority of establishing a common DEI baseline for all partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Training and Development Director with the coordination & roll out of new internal training initiatives from prep to feedback analysis.
  • Leads DEI preservice initiatives, Champion restructuring and collaborative impact committee structure.
  • Assists in the WTC Director in tailoring training content to client contexts and implementing an "accessibility-first" approach in every session.
  • Supports and Conduct (as needed) instructor-led training, workshops, and virtual sessions for onboarding, compliance, and professional development.
  • Supports and assists in the development of a structured follow-up processes (post-training surveys, resource distribution, and client check-ins) to reinforce learning and measure impact, directly addressing the identified need for improved outcome tracking and sustained client support.

Evaluation & Analysis:
  • Supports the Measurement of training effectiveness, analyzing data on skill improvements, metrics to evaluate programs Return on Investment (ROI) for both internal training and external training.
  • Assists Agency Training and Professional Development Director to conduct surveys, consultations and interviews to determine training need.

Cross-Functional Collaborator:
  • Support and collaborate closely with interagency departments such as Marketing and Communications, on aspects of special projects, including planning, content, layout and publication of marketing materials, turnaround time, etc.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project and/or program management, communications or a highly collaborative cross-departmental role.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences (e.g., technical developers vs. marketing teams).

  • Organization: Highly -organized, tech-savvy and Proficient in using collaborative work management platforms, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email marketing software( e.g, Mailchimp), Content Management Systems, employee intranets, and internal messaging tools(e.g. Microsoft teams, slack)
