Job description

Training Specialist for UMass Presidents Office Admin. & Finance Shared Services.
This is not a role for HR., or LMS Admin.
We need someone with strong curriculum development skills, including the development of asynchronous learning materials.
Position Summary
The Training Specialist will design, create, and implement the training needs of the UMass Presidents Office Administration & Finance function and customers of the Administrative and Finance Shared Services departments, the works constitute deployment existing training to end users while developing new training job aids and instructional videos in alignment with Title II accessibility requirements.
Essential Functions
Create and deliver new training needs while delivering existing training programs on UMass policies, financial, travel, budget, and procurement tools and procedures while ensuring they have the knowledge to meet other Admin & Finance compliance requirements.
Lead training efforts as necessary by providing input, documenting requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of various Admin & Finance department's training programs.
Provide hands-on training for financial systems, such as ERP platforms, procurement tools (e.g., BuyWays), travel & expense (Concur), and budgeting software.
Design and create instructional video and asynchronous training videos to be used on our LMS systems, in addition to quick tutorials for end users.
Support new technology and process deployments by developing training collaterals, i.e., job aids, training guides, and training presentations.
Encourage loops of continuous feedback and learning to ensure development programs evolve to meet changing business needs.
Work closely with process subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop specialized training programs.
Develop and implement measures to track and measure training and change effectiveness.
Other Functions/Responsibilities
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience)
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
3 5 years of professional experience in education, training, change management, business administration, communication, or other related fields.
Strong facilitation, communication, and curriculum development skills, including, strong knowledge of training development platforms, video training development, and asynchronous systems preferred.
Knowledge of major LMS platforms, e-learning, and training tools (Camtasia, Articulate360, etc.) is desired.
Strong knowledge of Title II Accessibility Requirements
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience)
Experience working in a shared services environment.
PeopleSoft, Jaggaer, Oracle EPM, Camtasia, Articulate, Zoom, and Concur experience.
