Job Summary:

The Training Lead is a team member that reports to the LTAMDS Array Technical Lead. The LTAMDS program is a multiple year, multiple customer program that is steadily ramping up production. This role will also be responsible for training new array team members on analysis and operations skills required for Near Field Range support. They will have ownership of a team of 4-6 cross-functional people and be responsible for safe operation and hardware decisions in the NFR.

This role involves 3+ years of near field range experience of AESA architectures. It requires understanding of NFR techniques and deep understanding of Matlab and Linux.  


Successful candidate will be a self-starter with proven project organization and execution skills, multi-tasking and verbal/written communication and presentation skills, and experience in a budget and schedule critical environment. The candidate must have experience with collaboration and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues.

What You Will Do:

  • Development of training programs for expanding Near Field Range production team
  • Leading others by understanding team dynamics and capitalizing on diverse team strengths while mitigating gaps
  • Leading trade studies to determine the best solution and plan forward for solving complex problems while considering quality, cost, schedule, and performance
  • Regularly conveying task status on complex issues and strategic plans across multiple teams, program, department, and customer leadership

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience and any combination of the following:
  • 5+ years of engineering experience with progressing leadership roles
  • Phased Array Analysis, RF metrology
  • 5+ years testing array hardware in Near and Far Field Range
  • 5+ years of Matlab & Linux Signal Processing
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in the design, test and sell off of military systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a complex engineering team
  • Solid understanding of hardware testing methodologies
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the assembly, integration and test of Phase Array and RF subsystems
  • Planning and leading hardware subsystem development activities
  • Experience managing cost and schedule with Earned Value Management methodologies
  • Technical writing and/or formal presentation experience
  • Master’s degree in STEM or MBA

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
