Summary

Job entails working in a fast paced production environment operating various powered lifting equipment such as: overhead cranes, mobile crane and forklift. Position is part of a trainee program designed prepare the employee for a Material Handler position.

Responsibilities

Employee is responsible for general movement, turning or other lifting activities as directed by Supervision utilizing overhead cranes and forklift.

Overhead Crane Operator Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate a remote overhead crane
  • Observe all workplace safety rules and regulations
  • Move various parts or components to the appropriate areas.
  • Work and communicate with supervisors to ensure smooth operations
  • Inspect equipment and fill out service requests as necessary

Overhead Crane Operator Requirements and Qualifications

  • Prior experience with overhead crane equipment (preferred)
  • Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout your shift
  • Strong communication skills
  • Forklift experience or a forklift operator license (preferred)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic discipline aptitude/attitude
