Job description

The Trade Marketing Analyst will report to the Trade Marketing Manager within the Trade Marketing Department, a division of the Wholesale Marketing Team. In this diverse role as the Trade Marketing Analyst, you will be working with and supporting the cross functional teams within our wholesale division: Brand, Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
The goal of this position is to support the cross functional teams with utilizing the resources available to make strategic decisions to drive sales and profit for the company.
Responsibilities will include creating, analyzing, distributing and presenting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports such as: promotion analysis utilizing POS data, updating accrual liability trackers, analyzing customer profit, and maintaining master promo calendars. Monthly sales meetings will be held between the Trade Marketing Analyst and the Sales teams to discuss customer promotional spend, performance and profit. The Trade Marketing Analyst will be responsible to share the promotional results such unit lift % from base volume and ROI, whereas strategic thinking will be needed to make recommendations for future plans. Quarterly meetings will be held by the Trade Marketing team and include the cross functional teams to discuss top customer current state of the business and sales strategies such as competitive insights, new item opportunities, and customer specific promotions and profit.
Responsibilities:
• Creating, analyzing, and distributing sales reports: promotion analysis, accrual liability trackers, customer profit reporting. Must be advanced in Excel. • Monthly sales meetings: responsible for managing assigned accounts which includes reviewing profit reports, tracking spend and analyzing promotions. Must be comfortable sharing feedback, strategies, and ideas with the end goal of driving sales and profit. Communication is key.
• Building quarterly customer strategy presentations working alongside Sales and Brand, fueling constructive conversation to understand retailer strategies, competition, and internal customer sales growth and profit. PowerPoint skills are essential.
• Working directly with Accounts Receivable in Finance with the customer accrual liability trackers, whereas the customer spend is accurately being tracked and communicated for accrual purposes.
• Analyze weekly POS trends for assigned customers to measure promotional performance such as ROI and unit lift %. Working with Sales to make recommendations on how to optimize future promotions based on the results and strategies. Analytical mindset a must!
Qualifications:
• Bachelors' degree Business, Marketing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel skills are a must; Experience with SharePoint a plus
• 1-3 years in a Sales Analyst, Trade Marketing, Customer Strategy Role (or similar)
• Analytical and strategic mindset
• Proactive self-starter
• Attention to detail
• Well-rounded individual with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate agility in a fast-paced environment.
• An ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization and thrive in a team environment.
• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with the CPG and/or supplement industry is a plus
