Job description

CWP Energy Solutions operates at the intersection of energy trading, financial optimization, and market intelligence.
We help renewable energy producers, battery storage operators, data centers, large energy consumers, and other market participants navigate volatile electricity markets through trading strategies, analytics, and risk management solutions.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded analyst to support our trading desk, client-facing initiatives, and the development of scalable analytics and automation tools.
This role sits at the intersection of trading, analytics, technology, and business strategy.
You will work closely with traders, commercial teams, and senior leadership to transform data into actionable insights, automate workflows, and develop tools that improve decision-making across the business.

What You'll Do
Trading & Market Analytics
  • Support traders through market analysis, data extraction, backcasts, and research projects
  • Analyze power market data to identify risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
  • Develop tools and dashboards that improve trading decisions and portfolio monitoring
  • Evaluate market opportunities across renewable energy, battery storage, data centers, and large energy consumers
Data, Automation & AI
  • Build and maintain analytical tools, automation workflows, and internal applications

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science (Master's is an asset).
  • 3–7 years of experience in analytics, trading, finance, consulting, technology, or a similarly quantitative environment.
  • Strong technical skills including Python, SQL (BigQuery or similar), Excel/VBA, APIs, automation, and large-scale data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, risk/reward dynamics, and performance measurement.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate insights and influence decision-making.
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, or machine learning tools to improve workflows and analytics.
  • Experience with energy markets, trading, commodities, or commercial analytics is an asset.

  • Développer des outils et tableaux de bord permettant d’améliorer la prise de décision et le suivi des portefeuilles.
  • Évaluer les opportunités de marché liées aux énergies renouvelables, au stockage par batteries, aux centres de données et aux grands consommateurs d’énergie.
Données, automatisation et intelligence artificielle
  • Développer et maintenir des outils analytiques, des flux d’automatisation et des applications internes.
  • Utiliser Python, SQL, BigQuery, les API, VBA et des outils d’intelligence artificielle afin d’améliorer l’efficacité et la prise de décision.
  • Automatiser des rapports, analyses et processus opérationnels récurrents.
  • Identifier des applications concrètes de l’intelligence artificielle et de l’apprentissage automatique au sein des activités de trading, d’analyse et des opérations.
Soutien commercial et stratégique
  • Contribuer aux évaluations financières, analyses clients et initiatives de croissance.

Ce que nous recherchons
