1.      RESPONSIBILITIES

ABOUT THE JOB:

The aim of Global Business Service Unit (GBTO) Canada is to deliver daytoday services to Societe Generale investment and corporate banking units and their clients, supporting business growth while ensuring operational excellence and risk control.

Within the Client Facing Middle Office (CFMO), part of the Global Equity Derivatives and Prime Services activities, the team provides direct support to Front Office desks and their clients. The CFMO acts as a key interface between clients, Front Office, and operational teams, ensuring high standards of client service, accurate reflection of financial transactions in internal systems, and robust first line control of operational risks.

The role relies on three main pillars: Client Service, Operational Coverage, and Transversal Valuations, with strong interaction across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Finance, IT and external clients.

Within Societe Generale, you will join the pole Global Business Service Unit (GBTO), in charge of activities of financing and investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

IIn close collaboration with Front Office and all support functions, the Client Facing Middle Office Analyst will be responsible for the following missions:

-         Act as the primary operational contact for Front Office clients on primary and secondary trades

-         Manage, monitor, and report client and operational incidents (prematching, settlement, audits)

-         Coordinate closely with Front Office, Sales, MO/BO teams, and global support functions

-         Deliver highquality posttrade services aligned with client service level expectations

-         Contribute to process improvement, automation, documentation, and business projects

-         Anticipate and manage lifecycle events on OTC and listed products

-         Ensure position accuracy, static data integrity, and proper trade documentation

-         Support Front Office with bookings, internal trades, and functional assistance

-         Perform trade capture validation and act as first line of operational and valuation control

-         Investigate, resolve, and escalate breaks, settlement issues, and anomalies

-         Produce and analyze KPIs and KRIs, proposing remediation actions

-         Serve as liaison across departments to resolve daily operational issues

-         Prepare action plans and postmortems for recurring incidents

-         Produce, maintain, and distribute valuation statements in line with Valuation Policy

-         Support client valuation requests and publish indicative prices when required

1.      PROFILE REQUIRED

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

1.                   Bachelor's Degree with a major in finance or financial markets

2.              Clientfocused professional with a strong understanding of Front Office and external client needs

3.              Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trusted relationships with clients, traders, and stakeholders

4.              Analytical and solutionoriented, with the ability to investigate issues and resolve complex operational challenges

5.              Strong expertise in financial derivatives, including product structures, risks, lifecycle, and settlement

6.                   Good inter-personal and partnering skills, a "team-player"

7.                   Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, deadline-focused environment

8.              Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets and automation tools

Languages: French, English
