AeroMag is a company that specializes in aircraft de-icing, the management of de-icing centers, and the recycling of used de-icing products. Established at many airports across Canada, the United States, and the UK, AeroMag is recognized for its excellent customer service and its commitment to environmental responsibility.


AeroMag is seeking an experienced Operations Manager based at our YUL Airport facilities. In this key role, you will be responsible for all operational functions of the de-icing center. This position serves as a resource for all employees and assumes all station responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager. The Operations Manager ensures that employees consistently follow all procedures and standards and adhere to safety policies during operations. You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership, treat employees and colleagues with respect, and lead by example.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations related to de-icing, training, and maintenance
  • Ensure enforcement of corporate policies (code of conduct, attendance policy, uniform policy, etc.)
  • Manage employee performance, including appraisals, recognition, disciplinary measures, complaints, and conflict resolution for Control Tower employees, Operations Supervisors, and Technicians
  • Monitor training and qualification requirements for CTMs, Operations Supervisors, and Technicians in collaboration with the Head Trainer
  • Ensure that standards and procedures related to operations, safety, the environment, and the maintenance of facilities and equipment are consistently upheld
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and standards, managing accidents and incidents, and conducting on-site investigations as required
  • Lead weekly or monthly meetings with the General Manager, Operations Supervisors, Airline Management Personnel, the Health & Safety committee, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate in theoretical and applied training (initial and recurrent) as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management


Qualifications

  • College diploma in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing large, diverse operational teams
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must successfully complete a drug screening test and airport security background check
  • Strong team player with excellent organizationnal skills
  • Experience in de-icing operations or airport environment is considered a strong asset

Ce poste constitue une ressource pour tous les employés et assume toutes les responsabilités de la station en l'absence du Directeur général. Le Directeur des opérations veille à ce que les employés respectent en tout temps les procédures, les normes et les politiques de sécurité en vigueur. Vous devrez faire preuve d'un leadership affirmé, traiter vos employés et collègues avec respect, et montrer l'exemple.


Responsabilités principales

  • Superviser les opérations liées au dégivrage, à la formation et à la maintenance
  • Assurer l'application des politiques d'entreprise (code de conduite, politique de présence, politique d'uniforme, etc.)
  • Gérer la performance des employés, notamment les évaluations, la reconnaissance, les mesures disciplinaires, les plaintes et la résolution de conflits pour les employés de la tour de contrôle, les superviseurs des opérations et les techniciens
  • Assurer le suivi des formations et des qualifications des CTM, superviseurs des opérations et techniciens, en collaboration avec le responsable de la formation
  • Veiller au respect des normes et procédures liées aux opérations, à la sécurité, à l'environnement et à la maintenance des installations et équipements
  • Maintenir un environnement de travail sécuritaire en appliquant les politiques et normes de santé et sécurité, en gérant les accidents et incidents, et en menant les enquêtes sur site requises
  • Animer des réunions hebdomadaires ou mensuelles avec le Directeur général, les superviseurs des opérations, le personnel de direction des compagnies aériennes, le comité de santé et sécurité, et autres parties prenantes
  • Collaborer aux activités de formation théorique et pratique (initiale et récurrente) selon les besoins
  • Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe assignée par la direction


Qualifications

  • Diplôme d'études collégiales dans un domaine pertinent, ou toute combinaison équivalente d'études et d'expérience
  • Minimum 5 ans d'expérience dans la gestion d'équipes opérationnelles importantes et diversifiées
  • Permis de conduire valide requis
  • Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Doit réussir un test de dépistage de drogues et une vérification des antécédents pour la sécurité aéroportuaire
  • Esprit d'équipe et excellentes aptitudes organisationnelles
