Northrop Grumman is seeking a payroll assistant 3 for its Irving, Texas location.

This role does require an in office requirement and is not available for telecommuting.

Roles and Responsibilities Include:

  • Performs a variety of statistical tasks and clerical duties required to prepare payroll data for computer input.

  • Reviews timekeeping records.

  • Trouble shoot point of entry errors for CATS

  • Process approved C104A Entries timekeeping only

  • Resolve basic timekeeping inquiries based on training and documentation support, i.e.: KB Articles, processing documentation, payroll calendar & schedules timekeeping only

  • Processes exception items requiring special handling.

  • Prepares, compiles and maintains various statistical and payroll records.

  • May manually calculates wages and post wage data for temporary work, bonuses, vacations, terminations, and special payroll requirements.

  • May maintain employee records on company's human resources information system (HRIS).

  • May perform analyses and reviews of data, develop reports for supervision reviews

  • Perform research on demand

  • Customer Service

  • Sector POC support

  • Resolve audit findings each payroll process

  • Respond to inquiries from customers within SLA

  • Basic Ad hoc query request

  • Assisted with creating scenario-based audit reports

  • Write test scripts and perform assigned project duties to support the departmental goals and objectives

  • Trouble shoot point of entry errors for CATS

  • Phone support to promote first call resolution model

  • Process approved C104A Entries

  • Resolve basic timekeeping inquiries based on training and documentation support, i.e.: KB Articles, processing documentation, payroll calendar & schedules

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma & 1 years of related experience, i.e.: business or accounting and/or relevant work experience

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word, and PowerPoint)

  • Payroll processing experience including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements

  • Knowledge of FLSA, federal and state laws, etc.

  • Operating a personal computer including standard software and some specialized accounting software

  • 1 year of experience involving extensive payroll duties

  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification [2 year completion requirement]

Preferred Qualifications -

  • Basic Workday and/or PeopleSoft

  • Basic Payroll SAP

  • Basic Service Now case management experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $49,100.00 - $81,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
