POSITION SUMMARY:
The Information Services Intern may perform a variety of duties including provide exceptional customer support and service for first call resolution. They will be responsible for accurate, timely and detailed recording of issues in the IS ticketing system. The Intern will perform imaging, configuring, deploying, modifying, and troubleshooting computer hardware/software at the desktop level. The Intern will provide ongoing technical assistance to users on system setups or modifications. They will assist with researching, applying and implementing information privacy and security standards. Additionally, the Intern will create and run reports as well as provide project management assistance: scheduling, producing meeting minutes, creating project plan outlines, entering data.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
  • Currently enrolled in a two or four year technical or business degree program.

Desired:
  • 3 months experience administrative or scheduling duties.
  • 3 months experience in providing technical and customer support.
  • 3 months experience configuring MS Office applications, Microsoft operating systems, and PCs and printers.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Interpersonal skills necessary to work collaboratively. Ability to interact effectively with clients having a broad range of computer knowledge and ability. Ability to work as a team member. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
