Job Description

Job Summary:

The Solutions Delivery Engineer is a critical part of the overall data center customer success team. This position will focus on technical advocacy and product installation/delivery, allowing FLIR to ensure the technical deployment and engagement aligns with our customers' strategic goals.

Solution Delivery Engineers deploy our solutions in our top end customer's environments (data centers and critical infrastructure) to drive greater security and safety outcomes. The Delivery Engineer provides advice on deployment architecture, works with integrators to manage the support strategy, oversees the project, and assists in launch planning as well as any ongoing operational issues.

Position can be based in Texas, Ohio, Indiana or any major US city near an airport.

What You Will Do:

  • Become an expert at planning and deploying FLIR solutions.
  • Work with customers to accurately specify hardware and networking needs then plan and assist in every aspect of the deployment from hardware to software
  • Travel as required to assist in deployment, commissioning, troubleshooting and operational needs.
  • Manage hardware refresh cycle.
  • Provide support to internal Solutions Architects, Sales Managers, and Support Personnel when your expertise is needed.
  • Skilled collaborator, working with both customers and integrators to achieve shared goals.

What You Need:

  • Technical degree or professional experience equivalent, required. Computer Science or Networking degrees are ideal.
  • Experience deploying solutions on a distributed architecture.
  • Understanding of and ability to use APIs.
  • Ability to quickly understand and troubleshoot complex networking requirements and software applications
  • Strong presentation and communication skills. Comfortable presenting from the technician level to the program management level while managing and addressing their differing concerns.
  • Comfortable with travel up to 50%+
  • You are ideally located near a major USA airport for frequent travel

Preferred Skills Include:

  • ASIS International Physical Security Professional (PSP) or equivalent certifications
  • Understanding of networking and connection troubleshooting
  • Experience deploying and managing cloud applications
  • Experience in the security industry as end user or integrator
  • Prior work with Government Agencies
