Job description

Manager, Page Wide Industrial Customer Assurance- Data Pipeline & System Test Engineering
Description -
PageWide Industrial (PWI) needs your leadership and passion to help our customers grow!
We have revolutionized the digital web press industry by offering full-color, variable data printing at unprecedented speeds and media widths in both Commercial and Packaging markets. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced leader who will apply their expertise and passion to maximize the quality and performance of our presses in the field, setting the standard for customer satisfaction in industrial digital printing.
Role Overview
The PWI CA DataPipeline and System Test Manager is a people and technical leadership role within HP PageWide Industrial (PWI). This position unifies System Test Engineering and Customer Assurance (CA) data pipeline, analytics, and Tier-4 operational support into an end-to-end quality and customer-experience accountability.
The role exists to ensure that customer reality is fully reflected in how PWI designs, validates, releases, and improves its SW for industrial presses. It combines ownership of system-level validation with leadership of customer assurance data, escalation intelligence, and operational feedback loops, creating a closed, data-driven quality system from field signal to SW engineering action.
This manager leads globally distributed teams spanning system test engineers, data and analytics professionals, and customer-assurance specialists. The role partners deeply with R&D, Services, Product Management, Operations, and IT to ensure that data pipeline, test strategies, and customer feedback mechanisms work together to reduce escapes, accelerate learning, and continuously improve press reliability, serviceability, and customer satisfaction.
Mission and Scope
The mission of the PWI CA DataPipeline and System Test team is to deliver end-to-end system quality for the SW of PageWide Industrial presses by connecting system validation, customer escalations, and trusted analytics into a closed feedback loop from field signal to engineering action.
  • People Management. Lead, coach, and develop project team members on a proactive basis. Provide technical leadership in a highly motivating environment grounded in collaboration and job satisfaction.
  • Work directly with customers on critical issue resolution, refining problem definition and communicating progress toward resolution upwards and outwards.
  • Define strategies to support Services organization with training, documentation and design improvements in a way that minimizes the number of escalations to the team.
  • Adjust team priorities in a very dynamic environment where customer is always first
  • Lead Tier-4 execution and ensure every major issue results in measurable prevention/learning
  • Develop a culture of customer empathy, engineering rigor, and data-driven execution
  • Own system-level quality across firmware, software, data/workflows.
  • Translate customer escalations and telemetry into test coverage, release readiness, and engineering priorities
  • Build and run robust data dashboards to drive fact-based decisions across CA, R&D, and Services

Scope is global across multiple products and releases, with direct impact on customer satisfaction, uptime, and PWI quality reputation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/CS (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 8+ years in system test/quality/customer assurance for complex HW/SW systems; 5+ years people leadership
  • Proven ability to drive release readiness, RCA/prevention, and cross-functional execution
  • Strong communication and comfort operating from hands-on detail to senior leadership
  • Preferred: industrial equipment/printing experience; ServiceNow; analytics/BI; test automation

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
