Job description

A private household is seeking an experienced chef for temporary meal preparation and delivery coverage while the family's regular chef is away. This is a short-term meal delivery role requiring offsite shopping, cooking, packaging, labeling, and delivery of fresh, high-quality meals for two clients.
The ideal candidate must have access to a catering kitchen and must be experienced with preparing organized, ready-to-eat meals for private clients using high-quality, fresh ingredients, including certified organic produce, organic grass-fed and grass-finished meats, and wild-caught seafood where applicable.
Schedule & Meal Coverage:
  • Meal coverage needed from July 27 through August 3
  • Meals should be delivered at or before noon
  • Meals will include lunch, dinner, and snacks
  • Friday delivery may need to cover weekend meals
  • Meals must be prepared and labeled separately for each client

Responsibilities Include:
  • Prepare fresh, high-quality meals offsite
  • Submit proposed menus for approval before shopping and cooking
  • Prepare meals according to each client's preferences
  • Shop for ingredients and maintain receipts
  • Package and label all meals clearly
  • Deliver meals on schedule
  • Organize meals in the refrigerator according to household instructions
  • Collect empty containers and remove unfinished food when requested
  • Communicate clearly regarding menu updates, delivery timing, receipts, and any questions

Ideal Candidate:
  • Professional chef, private chef, or catering chef experience
  • Must have catering kitchen
  • Strong meal prep and delivery experience
  • Comfortable preparing separate meals based on individual preferences
  • Highly organized with strong labeling and packaging practices
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Organized (submitting menus, receipts, and invoices)
  • Experience with private households preferred

Compensation & Reimbursement:
Candidates should submit their proposed service fee for the full coverage period. Ingredient costs will be covered by the client, and all receipts must be submitted for reimbursement.
