What does a summer private chef do?

A summer private chef works for clients between the months of June-August to provide personal cooking services for a client. In this seasonal, temporary job, your duties can vary depending on the client. Typically, you plan a menu based on specific dietary needs and preferences. You obtain the necessary ingredients and prepare meals. Your responsibilities can also include acting as a caterer for summertime events that your client hosts. You may travel to the client’s home to prepare meals, or you may live onsite full-time during the summer. If you live onsite, you may cook dishes on an as-needed basis. You can also find work on private yachts.
