About Us:

Pranzi Catering & Events is the largest full-scale, high-volume, and upscale catering organization in the state. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Catering Chef to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional seeking a rewarding career in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Position Overview:

The Catering Chef will work under the direction of the Executive Chef, performing production work at our commissary as well as participating in off-site event setup, service, and breakdown. The role primarily involves morning and daytime hours, with some evenings and weekends required during peak season (May–October).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food production, preparation, and event execution.
  • Participate in off-site delivery setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines and standards.
  • Support and maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

  • Full availability, especially weekends during peak season (May–October).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Current ServSafe Certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary experience; management experience preferred.
  • Culinary or Food Service Management degree preferred.
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong organizational and logistical thinking skills.
  • Ability and willingness to lift and move items regularly.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 or more hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
