Job description

PaperWorks is a leading, integrated North American provider of 100% recycled paperboard and specialized folding cartons for diverse packaging applications. Since our founding in 2008, we have remained committed to responsible sourcing and sustainable business practices.


We have an immediate need for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a full-time, temporary (6-month) onsite assignment supporting payroll operations at our Wabash, IN paper mill. This role reports directly to the HR Manager and plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our hourly workforce.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and a strong understanding of payroll procedures, compliance requirements, and timekeeping systems. Experience with ADP Enhanced Time (eTime) is a plus.


What You’ll Do:

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Administer payroll for union hourly team members, including contract pay rules, shift differentials, overtime, and premiums.
  • Review and validate timekeeping data, resolving discrepancies with managers as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, as well as company policies.
  • Manage payroll changes (new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, deductions).
  • Address team member payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive team member and payroll data.
  • Review, audit, and validate timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and paid time off.
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with internal audits as needed.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
  • Experience with ADP eTime (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
