The Human Resources Office within the Division of Campus Enterprises is seeking an HR Assistant. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Human Resources team with the administration of various human resources tasks.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of temporary and student employees.
  • Provide assistance at job fairs.
  • Assist applicants in completing their employment applications.
  • Screen applications for minimum qualifications.
  • Conduct phone interviews with applicants and schedule interviews for search committees.
  • Check references for selected candidates.
  • Enter HR data into PeopleSoft system, and navigate through the applicant tracking systems.
  • Communicate human resources information to applicants, employees and supervisors; accurately explain processes in an appropriate manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers.
  • Maintain program integrity and confidentiality.

This opportunity is for the 2025 fall semester, with a possible extension for the 2026 spring semester. Excellent work performance and professional conduct throughout your employment may provide an opportunity to renew employment and/or advancement potential. This is an in office position and is not eligible for flexible work arrangement. There is a State of NC mandatory 32-day break at the end of 11 months.
