Job description

The Human Resources Generalist at The Cardinal at North Hills, a Kisco Senior Living community, plays a vital role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the team members who enrich the lives of our residents each day. This position oversees all Human Resources functions, ensuring an exceptional employee experience while upholding compliance, operational excellence, and Kisco's commitment to service and care.
 
 
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000

What will I do every day?

  • Assist in complying with human resources related company policies, as well as all applicable federal, state and local employment laws 
  • Interview, hire, train, manage and retain highly effective associates
  • Develop and administer associate training programs to create a climate of associate engagement
  • Manage associate appreciation programs
  • Support and coach associates and managers regarding all Kisco human resources practices
  • Work with department directors on goal setting, annual performance reviews, salary, and terminations
  • Investigate and resolve associate grievances and complaints
  • Actively facilitate and support the company’s associate wellness program and efforts
  • Monitor unemployment claims and attend hearings and appeals as needed
  • Actively handle workers’ compensation claims
  • Coordinate all leaves of absence
  • Oversee payroll data, distribute paychecks, and conduct self-audits as appropriate
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate personnel files in HRIS systems
  • Perform other related duties as required

What will I need to be successful in this role?

  • 3 to 5 years of minimum experience required in the same or similar position

Special Requirements and or Certifications:

  • Required: A combination of Human Resources education and experience, including:

    • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of HR experience; OR
    • Associate's degree with 5+ years of HR experience; OR
    • High School diploma/GED with 7+ years of HR experience.
  • PHR and/or SHRM certification preferred
