Summary Description
Performs computer data entry of voter registration and absentee ballots, equipment testing, ballot maintenance, and filing.
Start Date: October 5, 2026
End Date: Dictated by workload following Election Day
Typical hours are 9:00 - AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with possible work on Saturdays
Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Enter data for processing Voter Registration
  • Enter data for processing Absentee Ballot Requests
  • Preparing Ballot Packets for mailing
  • Scanning of Documents
  • Processing In-Person Absentee Voters
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent. General computer skills, organizational office skills, and attention to detail. Previous election experience is preferred, but not necessary.

Story County offers a comprehensive benefits package for employees regularly working 30 hours or more per week. Benefits are pro-rated for employees working between 30-39 hours per week.
