Job description

PHA Health, in partnership with Wellness Partners LLC, is seeking a proactive Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for prevention and patient access to affordable care to join our team. You must live in Nebraska to be considered for this position. In this role, you will utilize telephonic coaching skills to help participants understand their current health status by developing a health coaching relationship and assisting the participant through the process of actively working toward improved health through support, encouragement, and education. The Registered Nurse will also work as part of the health fair team to develop a supportive and pleasurable health screening environment for participants as well as our own staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Relationships with, and Motivate participants.
  • Telephonic Coaching, with strong active listening skills.
  • Distribute educational materials to participants as needed.
  • Discern needs and/or areas of concern and refer to necessary specialists.
  • Perform Venipunctures.
  • Administer Vaccines
  • Evaluate and interpret participant lab data (trend past data as available), educate participants on the results, and encourage follow-up with a healthcare provider as appropriate.
  • Perform follow-up calls as appropriate to assess health status and/or goal progress.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Occasional travel as part of a team to conduct client health fairs.
  • Prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects at once.
  • Contribute to quality control efforts.
  • Must have some evening availability.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Occasional travel and public speaking.
  • Must carry Professional Liability Insurance.
  • Able to perform medium work (exerting up to 35 pounds of force).
  • Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Have adequate knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, medical and clinic staff and the public.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Education Program (has obtained two to four years of education at a college, university, or hospital.)
  • Current RN license in the State of Nebraska. (Compact state license required)
  • Must maintain Continuing Education Unit (CEU) requirements as required by the board of nursing.
  • 5 plus years of Registered Nursing experience.
