Purpose Statement:
Responsible for ensuring and/or delivering and properly document the nursing services provided including admissions, discharges, outside clinic visits, medical changes, and the like. The RN Health Educator is responsible for orientation, medication administration training, and staff education on current health conditions. The RN Health Educator will report directly to the Executive Director of Nursing and will be responsible for giving care under the direction of the Director of Nursing and the Chief Medical Officer.

Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)
  • Reports Directly to Executive Director of Nursing
  • Works with DON to create Health Education Curriculum for staff
  • Works with DON to create Health Education Curriculum for clients
  • Responsible for working with Treatment Director / Clinical Supervisor on scheduling of groups
  • Works with DON to identify outside sources of education for clients and staff
  • Works with Nurse Manager coordinate intakes and Holistic Care Plan Management
  • Works as floor nurse 25% of time and as needed

*Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • Must be licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse
  • Must have two years of freedom from chemical use problems
  • Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check
  • CPR Certification or attain within 30 days
  • Ability to use Microsoft office programs and other computer skills

Salary Description
$40 - $44 / hour
