Job description

Proofreader

Mobile - In office 3 days a week.

Are you the person who catches the extra space, missing comma, and typo everyone else misses? If so, good news. We're looking for a detail-obsessed proofreader to join our dynamic team of writers and designers.

In this role, you'll ensure every piece of content is polished, accurate, on-brand, and ready for prime time. You'll review a variety of marketing and communications materials across all lines of business, including landing pages, emails, letters, digital ads, thought leadership content, social media posts, sell sheets, event materials and signage, user guides, and more.

Our culture is collaborative, so you can expect to work with multiple stakeholders on every proofreading project and other duties as assigned.

The proofreader we hire will successfully manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining an unwavering commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • Exceptional proofreading and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Solid understanding of AP Style
  • Curious mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement

Technical Skills & Tools

  • Proficiency with Workfront, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience using AI tools

Content & Brand Expertise

  • Commitment to ensuring content aligns with brand voice, tone, and messaging
  • Experience navigating and enhancing writer's or brand guidelines

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $63,000.00 - $96,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
