CRM Marketing & Communications Specialist (Slate)
Organization: Major University School of Professional Studies Location: NYC (In-office for training; then 100% Remote) Pay Range: $45.00 - $50.00 / hour Schedule: 20 hours per week Duration: March 16, 2026 - June 30, 2026
The Opportunity
A leading NYC-based University is seeking a technically proficient CRM Marketing Specialist to support the Strategic Marketing and Communications team. This role is focused on the execution and maintenance of high-volume email campaigns and portal updates using Slate (Technolutions).
This is a specialized temporary engagement designed to bridge a gap in our CRM operations. After an initial in-office training period in NYC, the role will transition to a fully remote schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Slate Email Execution: Set up and deploy email campaigns within the Slate environment. (Experience with other enterprise CRMs/Email Marketing systems is acceptable if the candidate has strong technical aptitude).
  • Content Migration: Carefully move existing content from Google Docs into formatted Slate templates.
  • Advanced Formatting: Implement graphics and dynamic content, including the use of Content Blocks and Liquid Markup.
  • Technical Proofreading: Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks, including rendering tests across devices, link verification, and formatting audits.
  • Portal Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on Slate portals, specifically updating and editing events pages as schedules evolve.
  • Project Tracking: Maintain real-time progress updates within the Asana project management system.
Qualifications
  • CRM Expertise: Direct experience with Slate (Technolutions) is highly preferred. Candidates with heavy experience in Salesforce (Marketing Cloud), HubSpot, or Marketo will be considered.
  • Technical Markup: Familiarity with Liquid Markup or similar logic-based dynamic content tools.
  • Meticulous Detail: Strong technical proofreading skills with a "zero-error" approach to links and rendering.
  • Project Management: Experience working within Asana or similar platforms (Jira, Monday.com).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related technical field.
Upon completion of waiting period consultants are eligible for:
  • Medical and Prescription Drug Plans
  • Dental Plan
  • Vision Plan
  • Health Savings Account
  • Health Flexible Spending Account
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance
  • Business Travel Insurance
  • 401(k), Plus Match
  • Weekly Pay
