Position Overview:
The Technical Documentation Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining controlled technical documentation that supports engineering, manufacturing, and quality operations. This role ensures documents such as work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical specifications are accurate, compliant, and properly controlled throughout their lifecycle.
Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations, this position plays a key role in supporting change management processes, maintaining data integrity within document control and ERP systems, and ensuring timely availability of current documentation across the organization and supplier network.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify technical documents for completeness, accuracy, formatting, and compliance with internal standards and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate and support the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, including scheduling, preparing materials for, and facilitating Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.
  • Implement approved document changes, ensuring proper version control, revision history, and distribution.
  • Maintain and manage document control systems and ERP data, ensuring accuracy and alignment between systems.
  • Track and control distribution of documents internally and externally, including supplier-facing documentation, ensuring only current revisions are in use.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure documentation supports production and product lifecycle needs.
  • Assist in developing and improving document control processes, standards, and workflows for scalability and efficiency.
  • Support audits and compliance activities (e.g., ISO 9001) by ensuring documentation is complete, traceable, and audit-ready.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in document control, technical documentation, or configuration management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar quality management system environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., EVO or similar) and document management systems.
  • Exposure to engineering drawings and CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Experience supporting change control processes such as ECO/ECN workflows.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs.
