Job description

Job Title: Surgical Technologist / OR Technologist
Location: Viroqua, WI
Pay Rate: $33.00โ€“$35.00/hr
Job Type: 12-Week Contract
Start Date: 05/25/2026

Vernon Memorial Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist / OR Technologist for a 12-week contract assignment in Viroqua, Wisconsin.

Shift Details:
โ€ข Monday โ€“ Friday
โ€ข Day Shift
โ€ข Staggered start times between 6:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM
โ€ข Shared call every 4th weekend
โ€ข 36 guaranteed hours per week

Responsibilities:
โ€ข Operate within the scope of practice under the direct supervision of the surgeon
โ€ข Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for procedures
โ€ข Maintain sterile technique and assist during surgical procedures
โ€ข Ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment
โ€ข Support patient safety and efficient OR workflow

Requirements:
โ€ข Surgical Technologist diploma required
โ€ข Certification preferred
โ€ข Current BLS/CPR certification required
โ€ข Minimum 5 years of Operating Room experience preferred
โ€ข Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
